Post 5

1. Mary Ellen is a first-time mom and is having much difficulty learning how to breastfeed her newborn son, Ethan. What tips could you give her?

2. You have been asked to provide a 30-minute presentation to approximately 30 older adults on the topic of eating healthy during the later years. Develop a presentation outline incorporating five items that you would like to share.

  1. She need to keep trying,is going to be a while for her and the baby to get use to it.It normally takes 3-4 weeks for baby and the mom to feel real comfortable.

  2. She may need to have her breast checked for engorgement, her nipples check for flatness, inversion trauma or tenderness. These problems can make it difficlut for her to breastfeed. She may need to change position.

  3. Eating healthy is very important. 5 things I would suggest would be: eating more vegetables, fruits, low fat dairy products,
    drink plenty of fluids & cut back on fats.
