1. Richard recently had an ileostomy placed after resection of part of his colon because of cancer. He is having a difficult time with his bag being distended and having foul-smelling contents. What can he do about this problem?

2. Sally has been a “yo-yo” dieter for years. She has tried every diet known and has invented a few herself. She was most successful with very low-calorie diets. Although she has maintained a healthy weight for many years, she has been diagnosed with cholecystitis and has had a cholecystectomy. What impact might her weight loss history have on her diagnosis?
