1. Susie, a high school junior, is interested in eating more healthy foods. A noted limitation for this behavior change is her busy after-school schedule that allows only enough time to eat dinner that was purchased at a drive-through. Susie typically orders chicken nuggets with ranch dressing for dipping, fries, and a super guzzler cola.
What other food choices would be quick, but healthier, given her fast-paced life?

2. Think about what you ate for lunch today.
• Which foods would start to be digested in the mouth?
• Which foods would need bile for digestion?
• Where would the majority of the nutrients be absorbed?

    # protein digestion start in the mouth.
    # fat need bile for digestion.
    # majority of the nutrient is absorbed in the jejunum.
